Did you notice them? Probably not, because nobody follows this blog yet =P
The look of the blog has changed dramatically, and it was all relatively painless - upload your artwork as files to the blog and it pretty much does the rest. Neat, huh?
In case you're wondering, the picture at the header is my daughter snuggling Mouse, the first HBT I ever made. Mouse has become an essential part of bedtime.
The bonus to this blogs for dummies aproach to customization is that I am not only finished, but pleased with the result of my efforts just in time for bed.
And now as I get ready, I am reminded that in the chaos of chasing a very grouchy and very squirrely baby, I neglected to brush my teeth this morning. Ick.
Don't get discouraged- keep it up, u'll get followers but man, oh, man isn't bloggy-land vast?
ReplyDeleteGet out there and start following more blogs and asking them to follow you back. I am finding the secret to getting more followers (I've had various blogs since geez...before we were married and I have a handful of followers but oh well, I like it so whatever.
Here are a couple things to consider, not that I know much, but if this helps a little, then it's not un-worth your time .*)
~Try some contests- it's truly the fastest way to get followers, get noticed and make blog-friends. I'd be happy to do a giveaway on my lolly blog if u have a toy u can part with and ship to the winner.
~Make sure you are commenting on blogs often so people see your name from blog to blog.
~Make a FB page for your shop!!!!! I'm sick to death of FB but there is no arguing it's a great tool.
~Everytime you post to your blog post the link on FB. Do it for a week and watch your stats, it's unreal.
~Be careful with pics of Gretchen and your family. I've had some scary links in my stats (nasty stuff) and u don't want some chester the molester on your stuff looking at your daughter. ~As you get pictures, make sure you never get your house number, street signs or ANYTHING like that in the shot!
I will help you anyway I can! I hope this helps!
I have more ideas for you if you want them.
OH! And check out Amy Gaines!! She has been doing this for awhile. I am proud to say Amalia had a hat of hers and within months her shop had to stop offering toys and went patterns only because she was so busy!! I would be happy to buy an animal for each of the kids when your ready :) We have some of Grandma's from a gal that Grandpa used to work with and they LOVE to play with them.
